Networked intimacy and digital friendships: specif-ic features and transformation of interpersonal communication in late modernity. (Literature review)
The review presents a theoretical and empirical analysis of the features of virtual interpersonal communication in late modernity and the phenomena of networked intimacy and digital friendships brought about by them. The authors of the articles pay special attention to Facebook virtual communities, as well as to the probable transformation of virtual friendships into real close interpersonal ties.
