The article is devoted to a sociological analysis of dystopian discourse in audiovisual works and mass consciousness. Based on materials from the "Kinopoisk" platform, the study examines how dystopia reflects collective fears, expectations, and perceptions of the future of society. The research employs frequency analysis of key words and lemmatized annotations of dystopian films, which reveals two levels of genre perception: an affective level associated with images of violence and social threats, and a structural level describing models of power, control, and social order. An additional analysis of viewer ratings and reviews is considered as a factor in the perception of social pathologies and social tension articulated in dystopian cinema. It is shown that dystopia functions as an indicator of public sentiment and a mechanism for representing norms of social order and perceived future risks.
