The authors consider the confessional space of New Zealand, focusing on the analysis of the territorial and administrative structure of the national Roman Catholic Church (RCСNZ) and the functioning of this religious organization, which is embedded in the economic and social spheres. The purpose of the study is to identify the economic, social, territorial, and institutional aspects of the RCСNZ 's activities. The institutional model of the relationship between the RCСNZ and the state is not entirely typical for the region's confessional space, and the experience of implementing this relationship may be relevant for other countries. The article calculates the religious mosaic index to assess the diversity of the religious composition of the regions of New Zealand. The article argues that the modern RCСNZ is a significant institution that plays a crucial role in various sectors of the country's economy.
