Abstract

Due to its interdisciplinary nature, environmental sociology deepens understanding of the complex interactions between humans and the environment. The study of social, psychological, cultural, political and economic factors that shape people's environmental attitudes, behaviour and practices makes a significant contribution to the development of strategies to promote sustainable lifestyles, encourage environmental awareness and responsible environmental management.
