The book “A ticket to life: sociological essays on education, class inequality, and social exclusion in Russia” by Zh.V. Chernova and L.L. Shpakovskaya is devoted to the peculiarities of growing up in different (high-resource and low-resource) social groups in Russia. Based on rich empirical material, the authors describe the life trajectories of middle-class youth and graduates of orphanages.
